Soaring onto Success (SOS) Mentorship Program

Purpose: To provide support to SCOs within the organization by facilitating a mentor/mentee relationship that can provide professional development and support.

Mentor/Mentee Agreement:

• Assignments will be based on institution type; location of department and what individuals are looking for in a mentor/mentee relationship.

• Mentors can also sign up as a mentee.

• Mentor/Mentee assignments will begin on a 2-month trial period and then will last a minimum of a year.  This trial period allows for both individuals to decide if the mentor/mentee relationship is a good fit or other options can be explored.

• An introductory meet up will be established within the first two weeks of the assignment to help both individuals get to know each other, discuss goals that each has, and to understand the expectations for each side of the relationship.

• All conversations are required to stay confidential.
